Industries Served

Industries We Serve

Industrial Welding Services was established to serve the needs of industrial manufacturing & process plants. Industrial Welding Services is a mechanical contracting company but we are anything like our competitors. We consider ourselves a specialty welding contractor, who still offers installation and service of mechanical equipment, but our core focus is to maintain facilities that have the need for high purity welding processes. Some industries utilizing these types of services may be: Breweries, pharmaceutical facilities, food and beverage plants, etc. That’s not where our services end though. Industrial Welding Services also services large industrial plants such as chemical plants, asphalt plants, etc. Whatever welding process you may need, we have you covered. Industrial Welding Services is not just a mechanical contractor; we are your partner in maintaining operational excellence through superior communication and quality craftsmanship.

The facilities that we serve include customers in these industries, but not limited to:

  • Food & Beverage
  • Dairy
  • Biopharmaceutical

  • Laboratories

  • Breweries / Distilleries
  • Chiller / Boiler Plants
  • Aerospace & Defense
  • Chemical Plants

  • Oil & Gas
  • Energy

Welding Processes in High Purity Industries

Orbital Welding

Orbital welding is a specialized welding process commonly used in high purity industries such as pharmaceutical, semiconductor, and biotechnology. It involves the use of an automated welding system that rotates the electrode and welds the metal in a circular motion, producing consistent and high-quality welds. This process helps to eliminate the risk of contamination, as it reduces the chances of human error and minimizes the formation of impurities and defects in the weld.

Process Piping

Process piping in high purity industries, such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, food & beverage, and dairy, requires special attention to prevent contamination of the process materials. The process pipes used in these industries are typically made from high-quality materials, such as stainless steel or other corrosion-resistant alloys. The pipes are fabricated and installed using techniques that minimize the risk of contamination, such as orbital welding, electro-polishing, and passivation. The welds are carefully inspected and tested to ensure they meet the required standards for cleanliness and purity. The interior surface of the process pipes is often polished to a high finish to prevent the accumulation of particles, bacteria, or other contaminants. Overall, process piping in high purity industries requires careful design, fabrication, and installation to ensure that the process materials remain pure and uncontaminated.

ASME B31.1 Power Piping & B31.3 Process Pipe

United Association (UA) weld certification standards are some of the most strict in the industry. Our experts hold UA certifications that follow the ASME B31.1 Power Piping, ASME B31.3 Process Piping codes, as well as Section IX of the ASME boiler pressure vessel code, to ensure every weld on your job site is to the highest of standards. Whether your job calls for SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) or GTAW (Gas Tungsten Inert Welding), our fabricators utilize the same process and procedures to make sure that strict standards of practice are followed at all times.
