Uses radiographic examination to identify internal weld discontinuities.

Uses ultrasonic sound waves to evaluate internal weld integrity.

Identifies surface-breaking discontinuities in nonporous materials.

Detects surface and near-surface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials.

Visual examination of weld profile, workmanship and applicable acceptance criteria.

NDE requirements vary by applicable code, project specification, service conditions and owner requirements. IWS coordinates with independent NDE providers when third-party examination is required.

Producing code-quality welds begins long before welding starts. Industrial Welding Services utilizes qualified Welding Procedure Specifications (WPSs) supported by Procedure Qualification Records (PQRs) to ensure every weld is performed using proven, repeatable procedures that meet applicable code requirements.

Our procedures establish the essential variables for each welding process, including base materials, filler metals, joint design, preheat requirements, electrical parameters, and welding techniques. By following qualified procedures, we help ensure consistent weld quality and reliable performance in critical applications.

Whether working on process piping, pressure piping, or specialty mechanical systems, our commitment to procedural compliance helps reduce risk, improve quality, and support successful third-party inspection.

When a project calls for code-compliant welding, quality isn’t determined at the end of the job, it’s built into every step of the process. At Industrial Welding Services, our Quality Program is centered around proven procedures, qualified personnel, and thorough documentation to help ensure weld integrity, code compliance, and successful inspection outcomes.

From procedure selection and material preparation to final inspection coordination, we follow established quality practices designed to reduce risk, minimize rework, and keep projects moving. Whether supporting planned outages, process piping installations, or critical mechanical repairs, our goal is to deliver welds that meet project specifications the first time.

Applicable codes and standards are determined by project specifications, system service and jurisdictional requirements.

At Industrial Welding Services, quality is more than meeting project specifications, it’s a commitment to following recognized industry standards and continuously improving our capabilities. Our certifications and industry affiliations demonstrate our dedication to delivering code-compliant workmanship, maintaining rigorous quality controls, and supporting the critical systems our customers rely on.

By investing in recognized certifications, industry organizations, and proven quality systems, we provide our customers with confidence that every project is completed with a focus on safety, compliance, and long-term reliability.

Yellow Label Certified
Industrial Welding Services is proud to be a Yellow Label Certified fab shop through the United Association (UA). This certification demonstrates our commitment to qualified welding procedures, welder qualifications, and a disciplined quality program for industrial piping applications.

Member of the Pipe Fabrication Institute (PFI)
As a member of the Pipe Fabrication Institute (PFI), IWS stays connected with nationally recognized best practices for industrial pipe fabrication, quality assurance, fabrication standards, and continuous improvement. Our membership reflects our commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality work that meets the expectations of owners, engineers, and industrial facilities.

National Board R-Stamp Certification (In Progress)
Industrial Welding Services is currently in the process of obtaining our National Board “R” Certificate of Authorization (R-Stamp) through the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors (NBBI). Once certified, IWS will be authorized to perform repairs and alterations to pressure-retaining items in accordance with the National Board Inspection Code (NBIC), expanding our ability to support boilers, pressure vessels, and other code-regulated equipment.

When a weld is subject to radiographic (RT), ultrasonic (UT), magnetic particle (MT), liquid penetrant (PT), or other non-destructive examination requirements, there is no room for shortcuts. Industrial Welding Services specializes in code-compliant welding for critical piping systems where weld integrity, documentation, and inspection are essential.

Whether supporting new construction, facility modifications, shutdowns, or emergency repairs, we deliver welds that meet project specifications and are prepared for third-party inspection.

Not every welding contractor is equipped for work requiring NDE. We understand the planning, procedures, and quality control required.

Our team performs welding on systems where failures can result in production losses, safety hazards, environmental concerns, or regulatory issues. Every project is approached with the understanding that quality is verified through inspection, not assumed.
